The Clinical Therapist ensures the clinical needs of the inmate population and provides thorough clinical assessments, evaluations, therapeutic groups, individual groups, emergency evaluations and management as well as clinical consultations. The clinical therapist will observe patients to detect indications of abnormal physical or mental behavior. This position will also manage case files and records for patients in treatment for mental and emotional illness.



QUALIFICATIONS

The knowledge, skills and abilities for this position are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to:

  • Master’s degree in social work, psychology or counseling

  • 1 year of job-related experience

  • Must be licensed or able to be licensed as a LCSW or LCPC by the State of Montana.

  • A person with a candidates license must be fully licensed within one year of hire date.

Alternative combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
