A Plumber in a casino environment is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems to ensure continuous operation and a safe, comfortable experience for guests and staff. This includes working on water supply lines, drainage systems, fixtures, and equipment across gaming floors, hotel areas, restaurants, restrooms, and back-of-house spaces.
The role also involves performing routine maintenance inspections, identifying leaks or system issues, and completing timely repairs to prevent disruptions to casino operations. The Plumber must respond quickly to emergencies, such as pipe leaks or clogged systems, while maintaining strict adherence to safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards.
Working in a high-traffic, 24/7 environment, the Plumber must complete tasks efficiently and discreetly, often during off-peak hours, to minimize interference with guests and gaming activities. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining facility standards are critical to success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, repair, and install plumbing systems throughout casino, hotel, restaurant, and restroom areas
- Inspect pipes, drains, and fixtures to identify leaks, clogs, corrosion, or other issues
- Respond promptly to plumbing emergencies (e.g., leaks, backups, overflows) to minimize operational disruption
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure reliability and efficiency
- Repair or replace plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, faucets, valves, and water lines
- Clear clogged drains and maintain proper drainage systems using appropriate tools
- Ability to work on call shifts for emergencies, holidays, and weekends
- Will assist all other trades and crafts with routine and emergency work assignments
- Document completed work and escalate major repairs or system concerns to supervisors
