Manage the purchasing and inventory of medications and medical supplies for our hospital pharmacy.

Flexible day shift schedule: 7am-3:30pm or 8am-4:30pm
No weekends!

Position Summary:Â
To purchase pharmaceuticals as they relate to the hospital, including pharmaceutical supplies. Manage all aspects of drug purchasing including contracting, inventory, cost savings and compliance.Â

Education, License & Cert:Â
Required: an Associates Degree in Business Administration or related field; or two years equivalent experience.Â

Experience:Â
Required:Â a minimum of two years previous experience in purchasing, receiving, or accounting in pharmacy, hospital or other healthcare business setting.Â
Â
Essential Functions:Â
Processes all purchase orders for assigned areas and coordinates purchase of standardized drugs.
Manages physical inventory for the hospital.Â
Maintains contract compliance.Â
Responsible for oversight of the buyer's office and all associated functions.
Performs all financial duties that are relevant to drug purchasing.Â
Participates in 340B Program.Â

Other Duties:Â
Maintains a close working relationship with participating GPO.
Establishes and maintains the proper professional and ethical relationships with all sales representatives.
Participates in Quality Improvement process including:
Identifying areas in which quality improvement processes can be applied.
Collecting and organizing quality measurement data.Â
Participating in Quality Improvement Teams.Â
Maintains appropriate confidentiality.
Performs other duties as assigned.Â

The pay range is $20.79 - $32.45/hour based on experience.
