About the Role:

United Health Services, the largest and most comprehensive provider of healthcare services in upstate New York's Southern Tier, is hiring a Staff Registered Nurse, Maternity Unit to join our team at UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY. The Maternity and NB Nursery Unit is passionate about helping mother and baby bond the first few days of life. This unit provides physical and mental support in some of the most exciting times!

Schedule: 8 hour shifts

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assisting mother and baby during first few hours and days of life
  • Monitoring vitals and acting accordingly
  • Administering medications and providing patient education
  • Working with OB and NICU (when needed)

Qualifications:

  • A valid NY RN license
  • 1 year med surg experience preferred
  • Lactation certification preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team

  • PPE (Eyewear, Masks, Face shields, Shoe covers, and Gloves) as required by Infection Control policies
