Project Engineer – Civil Construction

We are working with a well-established civil construction organization seeking a Project Engineer to support field and project management operations. This role partners closely with Project Managers to coordinate planning, execution, and documentation across active projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support submittal and Request for Information (RFI) processes
  • Assist with purchase orders and subcontractor coordination
  • Contribute to change order tracking and documentation
  • Interpret and apply project specifications, including local and regulatory requirements
  • Utilize construction and engineering software to analyze excavation quantities, material needs, and project requirements
  • Assist in planning and sequencing project activities for efficient execution

Qualifications:

  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, maps, and scope documents
  • Familiarity with construction and project management software (e.g., Bid2Win, Bluebeam, Autodesk, Microsoft Office, MS Project)
  • Ability to support scheduling, logistics planning, and project coordination workflows
  • Exposure to cost tracking, productivity optimization, and problem resolution in a construction environment
  • Strong attention to detail with effective communication skills
  • Team-oriented with a proactive, self-driven approach

Education & Experience:

  • Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred
  • Prior field or construction experience strongly preferred
