Job Overview
The Senior Financial Analyst plays a critical role in reviewing financial metrics, accounts, and processes to ensure compliance, identify improvement opportunities, and support strategic decision-making. This position supports plant leadership by delivering accurate financial analysis, managing key programs such as the Steel Resale Program, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within Finance.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, general ledger activity, and periodic financial results.
- Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
- Monitor and manage the Steel Resale Program, serving as Finance liaison between OEMs and internal teams.
- Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and analyses to support management decision-making.
- Support Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and internal financial controls.
- Assist with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and cross-functional finance support as needed.
- Participate in ad hoc projects to improve financial processes, controls, and efficiency.
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience working with steel suppliers, OEMs, budgeting systems, or compliance audits is highly desirable.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with integrated financial and manufacturing software systems.
- Ability to interpret technical and financial data.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
