BIM Architectural Designer

Signature Homes is currently seeking a highly skilled BIM Architectural Designer in our Birmingham AL market to support the creation of accurate, code-compliant, and constructible home plans. This role works in HighArc and supports legacy Revit models, focusing on technical detailing, residential construction knowledge, and building code requirements. This position is an in office role in Hoover, AL.

What You’ll Do 

Responsibilities:

• Draft and maintain plans, options, elevations, and details in HighArc.
• Support and update legacy Revit models during our transition to HighArc.
• Produce accurate construction details and ensure all drawings meet IRC/IBC code requirements.
• Review redlines and field feedback to correct and refine plans.
• Ensure constructability, consistency, and accuracy across the master plan library.
• Support new plan development and contribute to ongoing improvement of drafting standards.

What You Bring 

Requirements:

• 2–3+ years residential CAD/BIM drafting experience
• Strong knowledge of residential construction & framing
• Experience with Revit
• Understanding of IRC code requirements
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred:

• HighArc experience (or willingness to train)
• Exposure to field construction or framing 
• Bluebeam, Autodesk Vault, or EWP layout experience
