Position Summary

Comfort Systems USA – Mid South is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC VRV/VRF Service Technician to support the service, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of advanced variable refrigerant volume/flow systems in commercial environments. This position requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while delivering high‑quality customer service.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, service, repair, and maintain commercial VRV/VRF HVAC systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance and corrective service on VRV/VRF equipment and related components
  • Troubleshoot electrical, refrigerant, controls, airflow, and communication faults
  • Utilize manufacturer‑specific software, diagnostic tools, and test equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals
  • Document service activities, repairs, and recommendations accurately
  • Communicate clearly with customers, supervisors, and internal teams
  • Maintain compliance with all safety procedures, EPA regulations, and company policies
  • Support system startups, system optimization, and performance verification
  • Represent Comfort Systems USA – Mid South with professionalism and integrity at all job sites

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience
  • Demonstrated experience working on VRV/VRF systems (Daikin, Mitsubishi, LG, Samsung, or similar)
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • EPA Universal Certification required
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to work independently and manage service calls efficiently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Manufacturer or factory VRV/VRF training or certifications
  • Experience with building automation systems (BAS)
  • NATE certification or equivalent
  • Experience servicing large commercial or industrial facilities
