The Sales Representative role is integral to our continued success and mission to remove the complexity from logistics. Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Develop new business through lead generation, cold communications (i.e., phone calls, emails, social platforms), and referrals.
  • Successfully onboard customers through internal department processes and collaboration.
  • Grow market share with existing customers by positioning RPM’s full suite of services and executing on customer strategy through proactive communications.
  • Monitor customer and industry vertical trends to take appropriate actions to optimize revenue.
  • Manage daily customer operations in our transportation management system including but not limited to building orders, shipment capacity coverage, tracking, billing, collections, and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to provide strategic planning including but not limited to pricing, operational efficiencies, and issue resolution.  
  • Prepare presentations, provide cost comparisons, and present QBRs to customer stakeholders.
  • Adhere to departmental KPIs, production metrics, and sales-related activities, including pipeline management.
  • Attend and participate in any training or educational sessions deemed necessary by the department.
 

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-5+ years of logistics or supply-chain experience
  • Experience pricing and executing Over-Dimensional (oversized load, OSOW (Oversize/Overweight), over-dimensional load, superload, specialized transport, and heavy equipment trucking) and project-based freight
  • Working Knowledge of Permits, Escorts, Routing, and Specialized Equipment
  • Experience selling into Automotive, Construction, Energy or Industrial Verticals
  • Experience with CRM Platforms such as Salesforce
  • Experience with lead generation platforms such as ZoomInfo
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time to meet with customers and/or attend industry conference
