Talon Hiring Solutions is partnering with a leading engineering and infrastructure organization to identify experienced Electrical Engineering Leaders to support and lead the design, analysis, and execution of complex industrial, utility, infrastructure, manufacturing, energy, and mission-critical projects.

This opportunity is ideal for accomplished electrical engineers who thrive in both technical and leadership roles. We are seeking professionals with strong power systems expertise, experience leading multidisciplinary engineering efforts, and a proven ability to deliver complex projects from concept through commissioning while mentoring engineering teams and driving technical excellence.

What You'll Do

  • Lead electrical engineering activities across large-scale industrial, infrastructure, utility, manufacturing, and mission-critical projects.
  • Serve as a technical leader and primary electrical engineering resource on assigned projects.
  • Develop and oversee:
    • Electrical distribution systems
    • Single-line and electrical schematics
    • Equipment layouts
    • Grounding and bonding systems
    • Lighting and power systems
    • Motor control systems
    • Cable routing and distribution designs
    • Equipment specifications and procurement packages
  • Perform and review engineering studies including:
    • Load flow analysis
    • Short circuit studies
    • Arc flash assessments
    • Protective device coordination
    • Grounding analysis
    • Voltage drop calculations
  • Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, design criteria, and construction documentation.
  • Coordinate closely with civil, structural, mechanical, controls, instrumentation, and construction teams.
  • Participate in project planning, design reviews, constructability evaluations, technical risk assessments, and execution strategy discussions.
  • Review vendor drawings, technical submittals, and equipment selections.
  • Support projects through planning, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, startup, testing, and commissioning phases.
  • Provide technical support during construction, energization, troubleshooting, and operational readiness activities.
  • Conduct site visits, field assessments, inspections, and system walkdowns.
  • Support quality programs, engineering standards development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor engineers and designers while promoting technical growth and engineering excellence.
  • Senior-level candidates may support proposal efforts, business development activities, project planning, staffing strategies, and technical leadership initiatives.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of electrical engineering experience, with consideration given to highly qualified senior and principal-level candidates.
  • PE license preferred or required depending on experience level.
  • Experience supporting industrial, utility, energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, data center, mission-critical, or EPC-related projects.
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Power systems engineering
    • Medium- and low-voltage distribution systems
    • Protection and control systems
    • Grounding and power quality
    • Motor control systems
    • Utility interconnections
    • Electrical system integration
  • Experience performing power system studies and electrical design calculations.
  • Familiarity with PLC, DCS, SCADA, and industrial automation systems is a plus.
  • Proficiency with:
    • ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, or similar analysis software
    • AutoCAD
    • Revit
    • Microsoft Office
  • Strong knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and engineering best practices.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to lead projects, mentor engineers, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
