The Front Office Manager leads the health center's front office team and owns day-to-day front office operations, working in coordination with the practice's clinical and administrative leadership.

Front Office Staff
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Operations
- Directs and supervises all front office administrative activities, including patient check-in/check-out, documentation collection, and insurance verification.
- Ensures front office procedures are followed consistently so the clinical team can focus on patient care.
- Assists in the development of processes to ensure efficiency in patient care and communication.
- Collaborates with billing and clinical staff to ensure accurate documentation and timely reimbursement.
- Assists patients with enrolling in various insurance plans.
- Monitors front office key performance indicators (check in wait times, sliding fee audits, chart auditing, etc.) and reports trends to leadership.
- Maintains compliance with HIPAA and other patient privacy and safety regulations.
- Each employee of Christ Health Center is vital to providing overall quality care to our patients and may be included in the patient care team and daily huddle when deemed necessary by the Core Care Team.
Staff Leadership
- Supervises and creates schedules for all front office staff.
- Leads staff professionalism initiatives to support team growth, effectiveness, and overall success.
- Facilitates regular team meetings and conducts individual one-on-one meetings to provide guidance, support, and performance feedback.
- Participates in in-service education, quality assurance programs, and risk management programs.
Qualifications, Education, Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in health-related field, business administration, or related field required.
- In lieu of a bachelor's degree, an associate's degree plus 2 additional years of relevant business or healthcare experience (beyond the physician practice experience required below) will be considered.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting.
- At least 1 year of that experience must be in a supervisory or lead role.
Additional Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of insurance and reimbursement processes, including Medicare and Medicaid.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and practice management software.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to set priorities and manage competing demands.

Physical/Mental Demands
- Work requires ability to lift objects weighing up to 20 pounds

- OSHA personal exposure risk category II (Tasks that involve no exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues, but employment may require performing unplanned category I tasks).
- Airborne personal exposure risk category I (Possible exposure of the healthcare worker to patients capable of transmitting M. tuberculosis). Universal precautions will be adhered to at all times.
Environmental/Working Conditions
Normal office environment. Full-time position. Position requires some local travel and occasional out-of-town travel through the year to attend various regional and national conferences and training sessions.
