At Regions, the Legal Contract Administrator supports the review, negotiation, drafting, and administration of contracts and related requirements. This position works closely with attorneys and key stakeholders in facilitating timely and effective contracting outcomes while helping mitigate risk.
Primary Responsibilities
- Reviews, drafts, and negotiates vendor-related contracts using approved templates, playbooks, clause libraries, fallback positions, and escalation procedures
- Identifies deviations from approved contracting standards and escalates material legal, regulatory, financial, operational, or reputational issues to the appropriate attorney or control function
- Negotiates routine and previously approved contractual provisions within delegated authority
- Reviews contract documents for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and alignment among related agreements
- Manages assigned matters throughout the contracting process, including intake, internal review, negotiation, approval, execution, and record retention
- Coordinates input and approvals from relevant departments and control functions and serves as a liaison among Legal, internal stakeholders, and vendors to facilitate contract completion
- Supports the preparation of contract summaries, issue lists, negotiation trackers, and decision materials
- Maintains accurate data regarding contract status, cycle time, volume, agreement type, risk level, negotiation outcomes, and escalation activity
- Understands, maintains, and proactively communicates operational metrics, contracting trends, and broader business issues to leadership
- Supports effective use of contract lifecycle management technology, electronic signature tools, workflow systems, and approved artificial intelligence (AI) tools
- Maintains the confidentiality of attorney communications, legal advice, negotiation strategy, and other sensitive information
- Coordinates work of various departments, and acts as liaison between the Bank and vendors to complete contracts
- Reviews progress, evaluates results, performs data analysis, and escalates to management as necessary
- Readily identifies risks, gaps, and issues and recommends changes in procedures to leadership
- Leads changes associated with recommendations with minimal supervision
- Understands, maintains, and proactively discusses operational metrics and larger business issues with leadership
- Performs other responsibilities as assigned
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and five (5) years of related experience
- Or High School Diploma or GED and nine (9) years of related experience
- Experience identifying contractual risk and applying established negotiation guidance and escalation standards
- Experience negotiating terms related to vendor contracts
Preferences
- Applicable, relevant professional certifications (e.g., paralegal, contract management, etc.)
- Experience with applicable systems (e.g., Ariba, Archer, Onit, etc.)
- Experience with contract lifecycle management systems and electronic signature tools
- Experience working within a corporate legal department or directly supporting attorneys

Compensation Details
Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
