Job DetailsJob Location: Wood Fruitticher Grocery Co Inc - Irondale, AL 35210Our Loaders are responsible for wrapping and loading pallets onto our trailers using a pallet jack. Employees may work in the dry or cooler departments of our warehouse. Candidates must have excellent organizational skills to ensure pallets are loaded correctly. Loaders make a flat hourly rate, plus a piece rate. Duties and Responsibilities: Wrap pallets according to standards to ensure proper transport Perform visual inspections of items to ensure orders are correct, undamaged, and ready for shipment Load pallets onto truck in correct order Operate equipment and ensure safety regulations are followed Perform other general warehouse duties as needed Shift/Hours: 2nd shift Sunday-Thursday. Your shift time starts in the afternoon and will last until the work is done. You will have every Friday and Saturday off. QualificationsSkills and Qualifications Basic math skills 10–12-hour shifts (overtime may be required based on workload) Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to work in chilled areas when needed Good communication skills Ability to work well on a team but be self-motivated and independent.
