At Regions, the Market Engagement Group Manager collaborates cross-functionally with banking leadership and Community Engagement leaders to establish short- and long-term strategy, goals, and vision for market activities. Additionally, this position is responsible for overseeing significant, large programs and/or projects related to market engagement, ensuring appropriate risk and compliance management, as well as effectively maintaining Regions’ reputation.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements policies and procedures related to market activities to assure compliance with federal and state banking regulations
  • Oversees relationships with external organizations (e.g. activist groups, community agencies, non-profits, minority groups, etc.), including representing Regions in meetings with executive market leaders
  • Promotes Regions in the community and ensures high market presence by staying abreast of trends and best practices, as well as monitoring competitor activities
  • Represents Regions at a high level in interactions to assess needs and effectiveness in meeting those needs
  • Identifies opportunities in interactions with market leaders for business and/or special lending and manages referral process
  • Maintains and evolves knowledge of existing public programs aimed at supporting and/or subsidizing community development efforts
  • Generates actionable insights to ensure Regions remains purpose-led and performance-driven in its approach to market engagement
  • Monitors performance of designated programs and/or areas and makes changes when needed, including monitoring of targets and benchmarks measuring impact of activities on several areas (e.g. reputation management, Regions 360, etc.)
  • Contributes to the management of risk controls, record-keeping, and business continuity plans in an effort to maintain operational and organizational cadences
  • Manages team interactions with Corporate Communications, ensuring that messaging and templates are aligned with departmental processes and policies
  • Collaborates with Community Engagement senior management in establishing budgets
  • If applicable, provides oversight related to applicable regulations (e.g. Community Reinvestment Act (CRA)), ensuring teams have up-to-date knowledge of processes, procedures, and reporting requirements, and advises business groups and leadership as necessary
  • Collaborates with Community Engagement senior management on evaluating departmental structure and ensuring the operations of the department are efficient and actively enhance Regions’ reputation in the community
  • Serves as the main point-of-contact for internal business leaders regarding market engagement and how cross-functional collaboration can lead to business opportunities and an enhanced image
  • Offers advanced insight and knowledge regarding the industry and local communities to team to ensure staff is equipped appropriately
  • Evaluates existing processes and procedures and recommends changes to Community Engagement senior management

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

This position is incentive eligible.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Social Science, Urban Planning, or related field and twelve (12) years of experience in community development, finance, non-profit, or related field
  • Or High School Diploma or GED and sixteen (16) years of experience in community development, finance, non-profit, or related field
  • Three (3) years of supervisory/management experience

Preferences

  • Master’s degree in related field
  • Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE)
  • Experience in banking and/or financial services
  • Experience in community development
  • Experience managing large budget amounts (e.g. $1 million +)
  • Experience with the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA)

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

$203,082.00 USD

50th Percentile:

$293,670.00 USD

Incentive Pay Plans:

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary incentive plan. Employees are eligible to receive a discretionary award based on individual, business, and/or company performance.Opportunity to participate in the Long Term Incentive Plan.
