Job DetailsJob Location: Central Alabama - Birmingham, AL 35209Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: 4 Year Degree PreferredJob Shift: DayJob Category: Information TechnologyOakworth Capital Bank is expanding and has an excellent opportunity for someone to join our team in Birmingham, AL!  We are looking for a full-time Sr. Infrastructure Cloud Engineer that will play a vital role in supporting our current & future clients.   An ideal candidate would meet the qualifications listed below, and more importantly, be able to demonstrate that they live by Oakworth Core Values (Golden Rule, Character, Innovative Spirit, Professionalism, Work Ethic).   Summary: The Sr. Infrastructure Cloud Engineer leads the design, modernization and operation of hybrid cloud and on-prem infrastructure in a regulated environment. This role drives cloud migration, transitions from managed providers to internal teams, and partners across engineering, data, and security to deliver secure, reliable and scalable platforms.   Key Roles/Responsibilities: Lead infrastructure modernization and cloud migration initiatives across Azure and on-prem platforms Design, implement, and operate secure hybrid infrastructure, identity, networking and core platform services Serve as a technical lead for complex infrastructure and cloud issues Collaborate with application, data and security teams to improve reliability, security and compliance Develop automation, monitoring, standards and operational process and procedures   Responsibility Details: Architect, build, and operate Azure and on-premise platforms, including virtual networks, compute, storage, containers, and platform services. Ensure environments are designed with secure, hardened configurations and meet regulatory and internal control requirements. Design, implement, and maintain enterprise identity and access services, including Active Directory and Entra ID, public key infrastructure, certificate issuance and renewal, and core network services such as firewalls, VPNs, DNS, and wireless. Ensure secure, reliable access for users, applications, and systems. Implement and maintain automation, monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity capabilities. Proactively identify risks, respond to incidents, and improve system reliability, availability, and recovery outcomes. Partner closely with the Chief Information Security Officer on all security-related architecture, controls, and operational practices to ensure alignment with the organization’s security strategy and risk posture.
