About the Role:
The Staff Accountant plays a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity and accuracy of the organization's accounting records. This position is responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. The Staff Accountant will manage bank reconciliations, journal entries, and account reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are resolved promptly. Additionally, this role involves detailed job costing and general ledger maintenance to provide insightful financial data that supports strategic decision-making. Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience with bank reconciliation and general ledger accounting.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Experience with job costing and account analytical processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or progress towards certification.
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle.
- Familiarity with advanced Excel functions and financial modeling.
- Previous experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily bank reconciliations to verify and balance cash accounts.
- Prepare and post journal entries accurately and timely to the general ledger.

- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
