Job DetailsJob Location: BIRMINGHAM, AL 35212Salary Range: $10.00 - $10.00 Hourly NOW HIRING IMMEDIATELY PASSENGER SERVICES AGENT (WHEELCHAIR ASSISTANT) Location: Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport (BHM) Airport Address: 5900 Messer Airport Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35212 Company: Huntleigh USA Corporation Pay Rate: $10.00 per hour Shift Available: Night Shift – 3:00 PM to Close Employment Type: Full-Time and Part-Time Available Possible On-the-Spot Offers Great opportunity for students or anyone needing part-time evening work.   JOB FAIR March 11th and March 12th 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM Please bring valid ID documents in case an offer is made.   Arrival & Parking Instructions Park in paid airport parking (you must pay to exit) Parking cost is $2 per minute Once hired, you will be eligible to park in the free employee parking lot Go to the first level Enter through Door 1L or 2L Sit on the red bench Call the General Manager to notify him of your arrival   General Manager: Damien Coach Phone: 205-516-3174   Position Summary The Passenger Services Agent provides wheelchair and aisle chair assistance to airline passengers while ensuring a safe, efficient, and professional airport experience.   Primary Responsibilities Safely transport passengers throughout the airport Assist passengers in and out of wheelchairs Provide luggage assistance for inbound and outbound flights Escort passengers to gates, restrooms, restaurants, or relief areas Assist hearing- and visually-impaired passengers Communicate with dispatchers and gate agents Maintain accurate wheelchair trip logs Comply with TSA and airport safety regulations Retrieve and return wheelchairs to designated areas   Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, and/or support up to 75 pounds Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to push, bend, squat, and assist passengers safely May assist passengers on stairs or boarding areas   Qualifications   High School Diploma or equivalent (may be required) Reliable transportation Ability to read, write, and speak English Must pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings Strong customer service skills Prior airport or customer service experience preferred   Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Career Growth Opportunities Valuable experience in airport and airline operations Walk in.
