The Machining Lead will perform all aspects of the machining process. Influence, train and communicate with other employees to produce quality castings for automotive industry while reducing scrap and rework, meeting on time shipment schedules, minimizing cost and maintaining a positive work environment.

Starting pay is $20/hour. 


What You'll Do:

  • Operate, monitor, adjust, remove and replace machine tooling on all CNC and CMM equipment
  • Lead machining employees by direction and influence; maintain a positive working environment
  • Conduct quality inspections and carry out reaction plans as needed to resolve issues
  • Carry out all aspects of machining/set-up operations with the ability to recognize/repair quality issues in a timely manner
  • Perform all aspects of assembly, pressure test, final box
  • Communicate daily with any/all departments directly related to machine process
  • Operate manual machines and power hand tools such as grinders, drills, sanders, die grinders, etc.
  • Operate mobile equipment and cranes such as forklift, electric powered dollies, scissor lifts, etc.
  • Operate general hand tools such as hammers, files, punches, etc.
  • Perform documentation such as routers, scheduling and quality
  • Perform housekeeping as needed to maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Perform any and all other job related tasks as assigned

What We Need from You:

  • Must have High School diploma or GED.
  • Two (2)+ years machining experience required. CNC machine programming, leadership training and forklift experience are a plus.
  • Must be able to use the machines, tools, equipment and/or work aids.
  • Precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators), vertical and horizontal CNC machines, CMM station, Go/No Go gauges, thread gauges, depth gauge, hand/power tools, forklifts, scissor lift, overhead crane.
  • Must be able to stand, bend, twist, knell, walk for 10+ hours.   
  • Must be able to push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in an extreme hot environment.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
  • Must be able to pass respirator fit test and comply with requirements when working in regulated areas.
