CHI St. Alexius Health is a regional health network with a tertiary hospital in Bismarck, the system also consists of critical access hospitals (CAHs) in Carrington, Dickinson, Devils Lake, Garrison, Turtle Lake, Washburn and Williston and numerous clinics and outpatient services.  CHI St. Alexius Health manages four CAHs in North Dakota - Elgin, Linton, and Wishek, as well as Mobridge Regional Medical Center in Mobridge, S.D. CHI St. Alexius Health offers a comprehensive line of inpatient and outpatient medical services, including: a Level II Trauma Center, primary and specialty physician clinics, home health and hospice services, durable medical equipment services, a fitness and human performance center and ancillary services throughout western and central North Dakota.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Clinic LPN you will help patients and their guests navigate the entire clinical experience so they can receive high-quality care with maximum efficiency and comfort. Every day you will serve as the primary point of contact, companioning patients through every stage of their visit from registration and intake to treatment and discharge. You will be expected to perform a blend of front and back-office clinical duties while acting as a dedicated patient advocate under the direction of providers and management. To be successful in this role, you must possess strong clinical judgment, a commitment to exceptional customer service, and the ability to integrate professional standards to ensure a seamless and positive patient experience.

 

  • Professionalism & Empathy: Builds trust and rapport with patients and guests by consistently demonstrating empathy and adhering to Studer Principles in all interactions
  • Welcoming Environment: Ensures a positive first impression by providing warm greetings, establishing immediate eye contact, and identifying the specific needs of each visitor
  • Administrative Intake: Facilitates efficient patient registration by collecting accurate identification and insurance documentation while managing point-of-service payments
  • Clinical Vitals & Screening: Accurately performs and communicates patient measurements—including vital signs, anthropometrics, and vision/hearing screenings—to ensure comprehensive data collection
  • Medical Documentation: Maintains high standards of clinical integrity by recording all collected data and health information precisely within the electronic medical record
  • Health History Assessment: Gathers and documents essential patient information, including chief complaints, allergies, medical history, and medication lists, to prepare the patient for provider review

 

We are offering a $20,000 employment incentive to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.

Job Requirements

Required

 

  • LPN Degree, License to practice professional nursing in the state of North Dakota
  • Licensed to practice nursing in the state of ND or in a compact state Basic life support certified

Preferred 

 

  • 1 year of clinic or hospital experience
