Description

Heartview Foundation is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Enrollment Specialist to join our Revenue Cycle team. In this role, you'll help patients navigate insurance enrollment, verify benefits, and answer billing questions while ensuring they have access to the treatment they need.


Schedule: This position follows a 40-hour workweek, with shifts of eight hours per day between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM. Candidates must have the ability to commute to our Bismarck location daily.


 What You'll Do 

  • Assist patients with Medicaid and Voucher insurance enrollment applications. 
  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for treatment services. 
  • Explain insurance coverage, treatment costs, and billing information to patients. 
  • Communicate with state agencies, insurance companies, and internal departments regarding patient coverage. 
  • Register patients for walk-in clinic services. 
  • Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring compliance with confidentiality regulations. 
  • Compile data for quality assurance and utilization reviews. 
  • Respond to patient, family, and staff questions regarding insurance and billing. 
  • Cross-train within the Revenue Cycle department to provide coverage as needed. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. 
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. 
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. 

Preferred:

  • Two years of experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or a related field. 
  • Two years of customer service experience or equivalent education. 
  • One year of office experience. 
  • Experience with insurance verification, Medicaid enrollment, or medical billing. 
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and healthcare confidentiality requirements.
