ABC Boat Docks, LLC / EZ Dock of the Great Plains is seeking a reliable, safety-conscious Over-the-Road (OTR) CDL Driver to transport floating dock systems, boat lifts, waterfront equipment, and other materials throughout the Midwest and Great Plains region. This position is ideal for a professional driver who enjoys traveling, working independently, and representing a growing company committed to quality and customer service.

Position Summary

The OTR CDL Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of docks, boat lifts, and equipment to customers, dealers, marinas, and project sites. Drivers will operate company-owned manual tractors and trailers while ensuring compliance with all DOT regulations and company safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles over regional and long-distance routes.
• Transport docks, boat lifts, and marine equipment to customer locations and job sites.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles and trailers.
• Secure loads properly and verify cargo integrity throughout transportation.
• Maintain accurate logs, delivery records, and DOT-required documentation.
• Coordinate delivery schedules with dispatch and customers.
• Ensure on-time deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service.
• Assist with loading and unloading when necessary.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs and safety concerns promptly.
• Follow all federal, state, and local transportation regulations.

Qualifications

Required

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Current DOT medical card.
• Clean driving record and insurable driving history.
• Ability to travel frequently and spend multiple nights on the road.
• Ability to safely load, secure, and transport oversized equipment.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.

Preferred

• Flatbed hauling experience.
• Experience transporting oversized loads.
• Forklift operation experience.
• Construction, marine, or equipment transportation experience.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb, bend, stoop, and secure loads.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to sit for extended periods while operating commercial vehicles.
