Rental Counter Associate

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RENTAL ASSOCIATE

As a Rental Associate, your day is a balance of customer service and equipment management. You begin by understanding customer needs, recommending the right tools and equipment, and managing contracts accurately. Physical tasks include loading, unloading, and organizing rental equipment in the yard. Professional communication with customers is crucial, whether over the phone, email, or in person, and you provide clear instructions on equipment safety and operation. Inspecting tools and equipment for damage and recording usage details are part of the routine, ensuring everything runs smoothly. You handle computer tasks like creating and closing service work orders. Troubleshooting equipment issues for customers, both in person and on the phone, is another key responsibility. Maintenance plays a significant role, involving regular checks, fluid changes, filter replacements, and more. You contribute to inventory management with daily reports and schedule ongoing equipment maintenance. Safety is paramount, and Rental Yard Associates prioritize safety standards while effectively and efficiently completing assigned tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
• Computer skills and the willingness to learn new software
• Strong communication skills in person, over the phone, and through email
• The willingness to work indoors and outdoors in all seasons and ability to work a rotating Saturday shift

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Lift up to 70 lbs.
• Stand and walk for the duration of your shift
• Bend, squat, pull, push, and reach throughout your shift
