Job DetailsJob Location: Bismarck North Clinic - Bismarck, ND 58503Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: DayJoin our team as a Revenue Cycle Supervisor and help lead the daily success of our Patient Accounts and Medical Records teams. Dakota Eye Institute is seeking a detail-oriented Revenue Cycle Supervisor to support day-to-day revenue cycle operations, staffing oversight, workflow efficiency, and high-quality patient service. This leadership role is ideal for someone with strong healthcare revenue cycle experience who enjoys coaching teams, solving complex account and workflow issues, and helping lead processes across Patient Accounts and Medical Records. What You’ll Do Lead the daily operations of the Patient Accounts and Medical Records teams, including staffing, workload, workflow priorities, coverage needs, and timely issue resolution. Monitor accounts receivable activity and departmental queues and reports, including denials, credits, patient balances, aging work, productivity, quality, and turnaround times. Support and coach staff through training, feedback, problem solving, and follow-up to help promote excellent patient service. Perform or coordinate audits of staff, accounts, providers, and workflows to confirm accuracy, quality, and compliance; uses results to guide training, coaching, and process improvements. Run, review, and interpret assigned operational and revenue cycle reports while monitoring department metrics and key performance indicators. Serve as a first-line resource for complex patient, payer, provider, and medical records questions while escalating significant concerns when needed. Lead or assist with department meetings, one-on-one discussions, and operational communications and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders as needed Manage routine staffing matters including time-off requests, late/sick calls, schedule adjustments, and coverage for absences. Assist the Revenue Cycle Manager with performance evaluations, development plans, and employee-relations matters in coordination with Human Resources. Participate in recruitment and candidate interviews and coordinate structured onboarding, training plans, competency follow-up, cross-training, and ongoing staff education. Support process improvement initiatives, system implementations, change management, testing, workflow development, and cross-functional projects as assigned. What We’re Looking For High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, finance, health information management, or a related field preferred. Minimum of three years of healthcare revenue cycle, patient accounts, medical billing, collections, coding, health information/medical records, or closely related experience required; physician-practice experience preferred. Minimum of three years of experience training, leading, or supervising staff preferred. Working knowledge of healthcare reimbursement and patient accounting concepts, including insurance follow-up, denials, payment posting, patient responsibility, collections, refunds/credits, and payer requirements. Experience with an Electronic Health Record and/or Practice Management system; ability to work with reports, work queues, messaging, and productivity tools. Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, analytical, and follow-through skills. A commitment to confidentiality, compliance, teamwork, and excellent patient service.
