Job Summary and Responsibilities

CHI St Alexius is looking for a Full Time Registered Respiratory Therapist to join the Sleep Lab Team!

 

Our Sleep Center is committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate sleep diagnostic and treatment services. We pride ourselves on our commitment to quality patient care, continuous improvement, and a supportive team environment.

 

What You'll Do:

As our Sleep Lab Respiratory Technologist, you'll be instrumental in the day-to-day operations of our Sleep Center. 

 

Expert Patient Care & Diagnostics:

  • Comprehensive Patient Assessment: Collect and analyze patient information to identify specific needs, determine testing parameters, and provide age-appropriate care.
  • Testing Preparation & Execution: Prepare and calibrate equipment, perform PAP mask fittings, and meticulously follow sleep center protocols for various polysomnographic studies (MSLT, MWT, diagnostics, split-night, PAP titrations).
  • Data Acquisition & Intervention: Acquire high-quality polysomnographic data, monitor test quality, document observations, and implement appropriate interventions for patient safety and therapeutic needs (CPAP, Bilevel, oxygen).
  • Scoring & Reporting: Accurately score sleep/wake stages and clinical events according to established policies, generate precise reports, and contact physicians for observed patient emergencies.
  • Advanced Procedures: Oversee and perform difficult and unusual procedures and therapeutic interventions.
