About the Role:
At Pine View Terrace Assisted Living, our "team delivers upon the dreams" of our residents. Â As an assisted living attendant, you play a critical role in providing compassionate and personalized care to senior residents within our senior community. Â This role requires an individual who can accept responsibility for completion of tasks without immediate supervision at all times. Â As a member of our care team, your role ensures that residents receive quality scheduled and unscheduled cares to include medication assistance. Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in assisted living, elder care, or a related caregiving role preferred, not required.
- Established paid orientation and training process Â
- Ability to pass background checks and meet state-specific requirements for assisted living attendants.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient demeanor.
- Dependability, Good Attendance Record Â
- Willing to complete paid training program and orientations as needed Â
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Â (one assist without lift)
- Monitor residents’ health status and report any changes or concerns to site lead/manager.Â
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, encouraging social interaction and engagement in community activities.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and resident progress in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure the cleanliness and safety of residents’ living spaces and common areas, adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies or urgent resident needs, following established procedures.
- Shift openings:  11 pm - 7 am; 3 pm - 11pm, 7am - 3pm, includes rotating weekends  Â

Skills:
The required skills such as effective communication and compassionate caregiving are essential for daily interactions with residents, ensuring their needs are understood and met with empathy. As a "one-assist" facility, our residents do not require the use of a mechanical lift or physical lift. Â Dietary serving or housekeeping experience will be a plus. Â Attention to detail and organizational skills are used to comply with regulatory standards and maintain accurate care records. Â
