Other duties may be assigned) Provide preventative, complex, and comprehensive dental care services Examine patients, diagnose their dental/oral conditions, prescribe and/or carry out appropriate treatments Record patient-dentist transactions in the patient’s dental records Complete referrals, data collection instruments, and other records or paper work Ability to refer patients for specialty consultation or treatment if needed Educate patients in oral health related conditions and prevention Must be able to listen to concerns and suggestions and provide follow-up and feedback in a timely manner Ability to calm nervous patients Ability to respond effectively to patients of all ages Train and evaluate assigned staff remain calm and professional under pressure  Ability to work independently, exercise judgment, and resolve problems Potential for mucous membrane or skin contact exposure to blood, fluids, or tissue.  Use of personal protective equipment (PPE), when appropriate, is required Exposure to hazards or physical risks (i.e., Blood, Sharps, Needles), which requires following basic safety precautions Will work with blood or blood-borne pathogens and will require knowledge and understanding of OSHA protocols Maintain standards of confidentiality of CC Idaho clients and records PHI (Protected Health Information) Compliance Perform all work duties and activities in compliance with CC Idaho,  Joint Commission, OSHA and HIPAA regulations Qualifications/Benefits Qualifications                                                  Required  DDS or equivalent from an accredited dental school  Unrestricted dental license (D.D.S or D.M.D) to practice dentistry in the state of Idaho  Ability to read, speak, and write in both English/Spanish in a business setting DEA registration Current CPR/1st Aid Successful clearance of general and DHS background checks   Preferred Knowledge of public health principles and practices  Completion of an accredited general practice residency program Two years of professional dentistry experience and/or training   Required Physical Demands  Is frequently required to stand; walk; climb or balance, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; reach with hands and arms; grasping/holding Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Depth perception, normal visual acuity, and hand-eye coordination Ability to differentiate between colors   Work Environment Work in an office setting; the work may be stressful; the noise level is moderate; exposed to x-ray equipment, nitrous oxide and oxygen gas tanks, dental chemical and pharmaceutical products and sterilization equipment BENIFITS: “CCI is a strong, non-profit agency to work with.
