What You'll Do
As a Same Day Surgery RN, you will play a vital role in preparing patients for procedures, providing education and support to patients and families, coordinating care, and ensuring a safe and positive surgical experience from admission through discharge.
Responsibilities include:
Providing direct patient care and nursing assessments
Educating patients and families regarding procedures and recovery
Coordinating care across departments and providers
Monitoring patient conditions and responding appropriately
Maintaining accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
Supporting quality improvement initiatives
Serving as a mentor, preceptor, and collaborative team member when needed
Qualifications
Education
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Licensure
Current Idaho Registered Nurse (RN) License
Preferred Certifications
ACLS
PALS
TNCC
NRP
CCRN, CMC, or PCCN certifications are a plus
Experience
Minimum of one year of RN experience preferred
Previous surgical services, ICU, PACU, or progressive care experience preferred
Strong communication and critical thinking skills
Ability to adapt to changing patient needs and priorities
Experience working within electronic medical record systems
Commitment to teamwork and exceptional patient care
