Job Title: Warehouse Manager 

Reports To: Operations Director 

FLSA Status: Exempt 

Classification: Full-time 

 

Job Summary: The Warehouse Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the warehouse including all service and warehouse processes, procedures, and employees to drive success within Southern Crown Partners.  

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

  • Provides leadership and direction for the warehouse team (inbound and outbound). 
  • Accountable for leading the team to high levels of engagement through positive employee relations strategies, and a safety mindset. 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for all warehouse activities and functions including inventory management, logistics, facility cleanliness and organization.  
  • Accurately, consistently, and safely provide directions on all the following activities: 
  • Operating various pieces of warehouse equipment (Cherry Pickers, Forklifts, Clamp Pickers, Electric Floor jacks, etc.) and ensuring daily maintenance.  
  • Maintaining computerized inventory control records on all product movements (receipts, shipments, transfers within the warehouse from one location to another, product returns, etc.).  
  • Accurately identify and receive cases of product into inventory locations, using various pieces of equipment, upon receipt from the supplier.  
  • Pick, pack, palletize, wrap, and tag special transfer orders.  
  • Move and stack cases for the purpose of conducting physical inventory.  
  • Remove cases of product from delivery trucks.  
  • Return undelivered cases to their proper inventory locations.  
  • Observes safe product handling techniques.  
  • Coordinate and complete daily cycle counts of inventory.  
  • Responsible for monthly and quarterly full inventory count. 
  • Review, research, and reconcile all inventory variances between physical counts and computer records. 
  • Compose daily and weekly reports on inventory results. 
  • Responsible for adherence to company goals and objectives. 
  • Manage internal transfers of products, as well as returns and communications with suppliers and vendors 
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

 

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and physical environment. 
  • Desire to lead, coach, train, and develop. 
  • Strong experience with driving and merchandising standards. 
  • Knowledge and experience with inventory control and computerized warehouse management systems.  
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with different departments and individuals from various backgrounds. 
  • Strong analytical skills. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Education/Experience: 

  • High school graduate or equivalent.  
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in warehouse and inventory management. 
  • Previous warehouse management system (WMS) /Radio Frequency (RF) or related experience preferred. 

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. 
  • Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.  
  • Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places.
