Job Summary The person in this role will work with student-athletes in an environment with high academic expectations. Key Responsibilities: Lead all aspects of the lacrosse program in alignment with ESHS’ mission and values Create, maintain, and submit accurate team rosters Manage all team-related administrative responsibilities Guide the personal, academic, and athletic development of each student-athlete Develop, communicate, and execute daily practice plans Teach lacrosse fundamentals, techniques, strategies, and rules Prepare and condition student-athletes for practices and competitions Establish and enforce appropriate safety, injury-prevention, and emergency procedures Develop game strategies, determine player assignments, and manage the team during competitions Lead game-day preparation, including equipment, uniforms, field setup, and cleanup Recruit, supervise, and evaluate assistant coaches, when applicable Maintain accurate attendance and participation records Manage the inventory, distribution, collection, and storage of uniforms and equipment Communicate regularly and professionally with student-athletes and families, including sending a weekly team email Coordinate with the Athletics Department to create appropriate social media content Coordinate transportation and ride the team bus to and from competitions, as assigned Support student-athlete recruitment and retention efforts Coordinate game schedules, practices, officials, and facility needs with the Athletics Department Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, accountability, and respect Address student-athlete, parent, and team concerns promptly and professionally Ensure compliance with all ESHS, WCAC, and NFHS rules and regulations Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: Previous lacrosse coaching experience; head coaching experience preferred Strong knowledge of lacrosse fundamentals, strategies, safety practices, and rules Demonstrated ability to develop and lead a competitive, student-centered athletic program Ability to teach lacrosse skills to student-athletes with varying levels of experience Strong leadership, decision-making, organizational, and problem-solving skills A positive demeanor, sense of humor, and warmth, balanced by professionalism and sound judgment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills when working with student-athletes, families, coaches, administrators, and officials Commitment to the personal, academic, and athletic development of student-athletes Ability to establish appropriate expectations and hold student-athletes accountable Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage numerous responsibilities effectively and efficiently Flexibility to accommodate changing practice, competition, and transportation schedules Proven ability to maintain accurate records and protect confidential information Ability to collaborate effectively with the Athletics Department and ESHS leadership Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification Ability to satisfy all ESHS employment, background-check, and required training requirements Elizabeth Seton High School, an Equal Opportunity Employer, does not discriminate based on race, color, national or ethnic origin, age, gender, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or any other status protected by federal, state, or local law in the administration of its employment practices.     Qualifications
