Memorial Community Hospital & Health System (MCH) is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated Medical/Surgical team. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a community-focused healthcare environment.

In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care by assessing, planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care for a diverse patient population. You’ll collaborate closely with providers and fellow team members during routine care, examinations, and procedures, while promoting patient independence and wellness.

Position Details:

  • Schedule: Three 12-hour day shifts (6:00 AM – 6:30 PM), totaling 36 hours per week.
  • Department: Medical/Surgical Unit

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients across med/surg and skilled nursing settings.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and education.
  • Perform assessments, develop care plans, and document patient progress.
  • Administer medications and treatments safely via various routes.
  • Respond to both routine and emergency patient needs.
  • Participate in patient admissions, obtain informed consent, and complete timely documentation.
  • Support a culture of teamwork by cross-training and floating to other nursing departments as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current RN or LPN license in Nebraska or Iowa (required).
  • BLS certification (required).
  • ACLS certification (required within 90 days of hire).
  • BSN preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (RN or LPN) preferred.
