MONITOR TECH/ICU - [Nights] - UNION GENERAL - Full Time

DESCRIPTION:  

This position is responsible for obtaining, analyzing and accurately documenting patient rhythm strips under the supervision of an RN. Other job responsibilities may include but are not limited to: interpreting and processing physician orders, answering phones, maintaining telemetry units, ward clerk duties, and patient care (ex. Feeding, dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting and vital signs). This should be performed under the supervision of an RN or the Nurse Manager.                                    

QUALIFICATIONS:  

EDUCATION: HS Diploma or GED 

LICENSURE: C.N.A. or Medical Assistant certification required

CERTIFICATION: BLS (Basic Life Saving) - to be obtained within 60 days of hire.

OTHER: EKG Class & Competency

EXPERIENCE: Minimum - up to 1 year job related experience  

                          Preferred - 2 - 5 years of recent job related experience
