Job DetailsJob Location: Bloomfield, CT 06002Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: 2nd ShiftJob Category: DOT - Safety Sensitive PositionSUMMARY: A CMM Operator is responsible for setting up and operating a coordinate measuring machine (CMM). Operators must ensure accurate measurement of parts and components using appropriate technical data. The operator will also communicate outcomes and issues with quality, engineering, and operations team members.   DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Operate CMM equipment to inspect and measure precision aerospace components and assemblies. Interpret technical data to perform accurate inspections. Maintain proper documentation, including detailed reports and records. Identify and report non-conformities. Ensure CMM equipment is properly calibrated and maintained for accurate measurements. Perform daily machine maintenance (PMs). Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, and quality assurance to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications. Adhere to aerospace industry standards such as AS9100 and ISO 9001 in all inspection processes. Other duties as assigned. QualificationsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: High School/GED. 1 year experience in a technical capacity. Attention to detail. Proven safety record. PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: Previous CMM experience. Knowledge of inspection tools and geometric tolerancing.   OTHER:  The selected applicant will be subject to a background check and drug testing.
