What You’ll Do:Â
- Safely drive a company vehicle to deliver food and supplies between schools in the districtÂ
- Load and unload products with care, ensuring proper storage and deliveryÂ
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and keep accurate logs and reportsÂ
- Keep the delivery vehicle clean and in excellent working conditionÂ
- Communicate with the central office as needed to ensure timely, accurate deliveriesÂ
- Follow all local driving laws and school district policiesÂ

Pay Rate: $21.00/hour
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
Education
• High school diploma or equivalent required; must complete all Whitsons and government-mandated training as required. Experience
• Minimum 1 year of professional driving experience required; food service or delivery driving experience preferred.
Â
Certifications
• Clean, valid, and unblemished driver’s license required at all times;
• ServSafe certification preferred. Other Qualifications
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English sufficient to understand route instructions, complete required logs and reports, and communicate with school and office staff.
• Must adhere to all motor vehicle laws and regulations at all times; always presents a professional image and follows all Whitsons policies and procedures.

• Safety & Compliance: Operates the company vehicle safely and in full compliance with all motor vehicle laws, school district delivery policies, and Whitsons fleet protocols at all times.
• Reliability & Punctuality: Completes all assigned deliveries accurately and on schedule; maintains consistent attendance, follows assigned routes, and meets all reporting and documentation requirements every shift.
• Attention to Detail: Ensures product is correctly loaded, transported, and delivered; completes vehicle logs, odometer records, and delivery receipts with accuracy.
• Professionalism: Represents Whitsons positively at all school locations; follows all district-specific delivery protocols and maintains a clean, well-kept vehicle and professional appearance at all times.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND OTHER DETAILS
Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time non-exempt position. Hours are aligned with the school district’s food service delivery schedule. Occasional extended hours or weekend work may be required.

Physical Demands of the Job
The Team Member is required to sit while driving and stand and walk when loading, unloading, and at delivery sites. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently, including while turning side to side. Exposure to extreme temperatures when accessing storerooms and freezers. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Work Environment
This position operates primarily in and around a company vehicle, with regular presence at school loading docks, storerooms, and freezer areas. Environmental conditions include varying temperatures and moderate to loud noise levels.
