Swift Textile Metalizing (STM) is seeking a Maintenance Technician who will be responsible for installation, troubleshooting, repair of plant machinery and inside/outside maintenance for all buildings. The company serves customers in commercial, aerospace and defense industries.

Job Accountabilities: 

  • Work to ahigh-quality standard keeping safety as the top priority 
  • Works closely with all functions 
  • Assists with installation of facility machinery 
  • Performs daily preventive maintenance, repair activities and updates using the company's PM system 
  • Performs minor electrical, mechanical and plumbing work for an industrial environment 
  • Notifies supervisor immediately of problems observed 
  • Adheres to schedule for preventative maintenance of equipment 
  • Required to perform electrical, plumbing and/or carpentry work using various machines in addition to various hand tools 
  • Works with minimal supervision 
  • All other duties as assigned 

 

Job Specifications: 


Education: High school or trade school graduate


Years’ Experience:   2-4 years of relevant experience in a Manufacturing environment

 

Skills: 

  • Ability to read and interpret operating instructions and blueprints 
  • Basic Math skills 
  • Basic skills in one or more of the following areas: electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, plumbing, carpentry and piping systems 
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office 
  • Attention to safety, detail and quality 
  • Ability to work with others in a team environment 
  • May involve lifting to a maximum of 50 pounds 
  • Use of PPE as required
