Job DetailsJob Location: Bloomfield, CT 06002Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: 1st ShiftJob Category: DOT - Safety Sensitive PositionSUMMARY: The Manual VTL Machinist II will perform alteration tasks on civil aviation articles in accordance with the current technical data provided in the manufacturers’ Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, Services Bulletins, service letters, Airworthiness Directives, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA.  In addition to that, the machinist will also develop, duplicate, and manufacture tooling equipment as required. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Set up and operate manual or CNC machines, including mills, lathes, or hones machining equipment, to produce parts to required specifications. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions. Prioritize components for repairs to ensure on-time delivery requirements are met. Perform quality checks on parts using precision measuring tools and equipment. Maintain and troubleshoot CNC and/or hones machining equipment as needed. Ensure up-to-date knowledge of all tools and proper use of equipment within the assigned area of responsibility. Document maintenance records of all repair work orders performed. Collaborate with the engineering and quality teams to ensure all parts meet strict aerospace standards. Other duties as assigned. QualificationsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  5+ year of relevant/technical work experience OR OR an Associate degree in lieu of 2 years experience Strong understanding machining requirements. Proficient and skilled in using precision measurement instruments. Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and technical specifications. Attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills. Flexible to changing workloads/priorities based on customer requirements. Must be able to read, write, and understand English. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high level of accuracy and quality.   PREFERED REQUIREMENTS: Manual machining experience Aviation MRO experience  OTHER:  The selected applicant will be subject to a background check and DOT drug testing. #INDVSE #INDVSE
