Title: Operator Assembly/Press & Bench

Job Summary:

An operator assembly/press & bench is responsible for operating various presses, assembling, soldering, hand setting, inspecting, sorting and various other types of bench work as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:  None

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Operate various presses to produce quality parts as required.
• Perform numerous assembling and bench operations as required.
• Performs PDQ inspections.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Inspects and sorts parts as required.
• Assists in other departments as time permits.
• Operates auxiliary equipment as needed.
• Maintain lot and scrap control

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Must be able to perform basic assembly functions containing small parts.
• Experienced in use of measuring and magnification equipment.
• Must be able to work well with tweezers.
• Able to work in a team atmosphere.
• Practices good housekeeping.

Education and Experience:

• Accustomed to working in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in working with measuring and magnification equipment.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting/standing.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
• Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
