Position Title: Receiving Inspector
Department: Quality
Reports To: Receiving Inspector SupervisorÂ
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Position Status: Quality Indirect
Working Hours: 7:00am – 3:30pm
Summary :
Â
Responsible for receiving new and repaired hardware of various engine including GG3, GG4, GG8 and/or FT4/PT8 components as well as customer supplied materials in accordance with WGPW established methods and standard practices.Â

 Essential Work Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Â
- Able to read, write and interpret information from a variety of areas such as job order instructions, vendor shipping orders, overhaul manuals, inspection records and vendor certifications.Â
- Working knowledge of a Window’s based computer system.Â
- Ability to loo up and understand various Engine Manual sections including inspectors, repairs, and service bulletins.Â
- Able to use basic inspection gauges such as micrometers, dial bore gauges, indicators, vernier, and dial calipers.Â
- Enter data of parts being receiving into its appropriate inspection documents.Â
- Issue VSO’s, travelers, routing tags as required for work to be performed.Â
- Receive in a variety of material from repair vendors and or from inventory on VSO’s, packing slips and make appropriate entries into the applicable documents such as BX sheets.Â
- Perform job I. A. W. WGPW’s application S. O.P.’s.Â

Education Requirements:
Â
- High school diploma or equivalent broad specialized training in the use of the GG3, GG4, GG8 and FT engine manuals or equivalent combination of education and experience.Â
Core Competencies:
- Mathematical aptitude.Â
- Ability to solve practical problems using pre-existing standards. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form.Â
- Must be familiar with WGPW ISO and EH&S standards.Â

Physical and Environmental Demands:Â

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly to sit, stand, and use hands to handle parts.Â
- The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, dept perception and ability to adjust focus.Â

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally work with chemicals while signing in consumable materials for use on parts within the shop.Â
Possible use of alcohol and/or cleaning agents for light cleanings of oils or dirt as parts are received in.Â
