Every successful installation of our X-ray equipment begins with careful site planning, clear communication, and strong project coordination. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Site Planning & Installations to manage the planning and preparation of customer sites for new and replacement medical imaging equipment. This position combines project management, technical site planning, AutoCAD drafting, and customer-facing coordination. You will work directly with healthcare facilities, imaging centers, equipment dealers, architects, general contractors, engineers, facility managers, and construction trades to ensure each site is properly designed and prepared for installation. You will also collaborate closely with Del Medical’s Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Logistics, Technical Support, and Field Service teams. What You’ll Do As the primary project lead for assigned customer installations, you will: Manage multiple medical imaging equipment projects from order release through installation completion and project closeout. Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, dealers, contractors, and other project stakeholders. Develop, review, and revise equipment room layouts and site-planning drawings using AutoCAD. Prepare site-specific drawings showing equipment placement, required clearances, room dimensions, utilities, structural support locations, and other installation requirements. Conduct site surveys and field measurements for new installations, equipment replacements, and room renovations. Review architectural, construction, and engineering drawings to identify potential installation conflicts or missing requirements. Coordinate site-planning activities with customers, architects, general contractors, electricians, structural engineers, facility managers, IT personnel, and other trades. Communicate Del Medical’s electrical, structural, networking, HVAC, equipment-access, and construction requirements to project stakeholders. Coordinate with qualified professionals regarding radiation shielding and other regulatory or engineering requirements, as applicable. Develop and maintain project schedules that align site readiness with manufacturing, shipping, delivery, and installation timelines. Monitor construction and site-preparation progress and confirm that required work is completed before equipment delivery and installation. Coordinate delivery and installation schedules with customers, logistics providers, contractors, and Del Medical Field Service Engineers. Identify site-planning issues and project risks early and work with stakeholders to prevent delays. Maintain accurate project documentation, drawings, schedules, meeting notes, and customer approvals. Provide proactive updates to customers and internal stakeholders throughout the project. Support installation activities and help resolve field issues when site conditions differ from approved plans. What Will Make You Successful You enjoy bringing order and clarity to complex projects. You can move comfortably between reviewing a technical drawing, updating an AutoCAD layout, speaking with a customer, and working through construction details with a general contractor or trade professional. You communicate clearly, manage competing priorities effectively, and anticipate potential problems before they affect the project schedule. You are also comfortable visiting active construction sites and taking ownership of projects from initial planning through installation. Required Qualifications Associate degree in drafting and design, engineering technology, construction management, project management, or a related field—or equivalent relevant experience. At least three years of experience in site planning, architectural drafting, construction coordination, project management, equipment installation, or a related field. Proficiency in AutoCAD, including creating and revising two-dimensional room layouts and technical drawings. Ability to read and interpret architectural, construction, electrical, and equipment drawings. Experience coordinating multiple projects simultaneously. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, architects, general contractors, engineers, facility personnel, and construction trades. Strong organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project-management or scheduling software. Ability to travel domestically approximately 40–60% for site surveys, project meetings, and installation coordination. Valid driver’s license.
