Overview

The Business Systems Analyst role entails supporting the implementation, optimization, and ongoing operations of Cook’s MDM solutions – legacy MDM solutions, Customer Data Management (CDM) for Party domains and PDH (Product Data Hub) for products.  Key responsibilities for this role include working closely with business stakeholders, Data Governance teams, and IT partners to gather requirements, design and implement system improvements, and ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems. This role will also focus on identifying opportunities to enhance MDM solutions, troubleshooting issues, and supporting system enhancements to improve data quality and integrations. 

Responsibilities

  • Participate in project planning by facilitating the identification of project complexity, assumptions, constraints, risks and dependencies
  • Identify stakeholders and elicit needed information to produce requirements
  • Conduct analysis of stakeholder business processes and requirements
  • Conduct requirement walk-through and prioritization meetings with stakeholders
  • Proficient at translating technical requirements to non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated use of process mapping, diagramming, user scenarios, and writing testable requirements
  • Ensure all stakeholders have a shared understanding of the requirements
  • Conduct impact analysis on requirement changes and effectively communicate impact to all stakeholders
  • Deliver appropriate requirements documentation in accordance with software validation procedures and processes
  • Must have highly collaborative approach to requirements development and communication with both technical and non-technical teams
  • Works well managing workload for multiple projects in a fast-paced, diverse environment
  • Contribute to developing the goals and planning efforts for delivering solutions
  • Work on large complex solutions requiring broad understanding of the context of the solution
  • Develop Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in the relevant business domain of the solution
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, and documentation skills
  • Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization

Qualifications

Educational/Work Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in IS or related field; or experience of such kind and amount as to provide a comparable background
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Analysis, Technical Writing, Software Testing, Systems Development and/or Process Improvement
  • MDM (Master Data Management) experience
  • Knowledge of SDLC, web technologies, JBASE, mobile technologies, relational databases, Agile vs Waterfall software development methodologies is preferred

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Works under general office environment conditions
  • Sitting for extended periods, utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers, equipment, etc.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, subject to reasonable accommodation requirements under the ADA
  • Requires occasional early morning or late evening teleconferences
  • International and domestic travel as required
