JOB DESCRIPTION:

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Provide psychiatric services consistent with established guidelines for best practice interventions for adults, children, and adolescents.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and provide medication management.
  • Collaborate with treatment team members for medical supervision, utilizing advanced
  • knowledge of psychopathology and psychopharmacology to assist clinical team members in
  • diagnosis, case formulation, and choice of treatment interventions.
  • Maintain effective, collaborative relationship with Psychiatrists.
  • Follow best practice prescribing protocols as identified in research and from organizational processes.
  • Maintain an effective professional relationship with clinical support/nursing to efficiently and successfully support patients during and in between appointments.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education Level

Master'sDegreeinNursingrequired. (ClinicalNurseSpecialistor PsychiatricNursePractitioner)

Years of Experience

Onetothreeyears of experienceinPsychiatricNursing environmentormental health careenvironment ispreferred.

Certification/Licensure

Must be licensed. Must have or be able to quickly obtain prescriptive authority.
