Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa is nestled high atop the majestic San Bernardino Mountains at an elevation of 5,174’. This Resort is surrounded by an ocean of Ponderosa Pines and gives guests exclusive access to Lake Arrowhead, a reservoir with a surface area of 780 acres. Lake Arrowhead is the perfect location for outdoor adventure enthusiasts and offers a variety of summertime and wintertime activities including hiking, mountain biking, fishing, kayaking, water skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, ziplining, and more. The Spa Manager is responsible for leading and operating the full wellness, recreation, and leisure experience at Lake Arrowhead Resort & Spa, including Spa, Fitness Center/Gym, Pools, Recreation Programming, Marina operations, and Beach activities. This role delivers exceptional guest experience, drives revenue performance, ensures safety and compliance, and develops a high-performing, guest-focused team. The Spa Manager leads in alignment with Pyramid Global Hospitality’s People First culture, fostering an environment of professionalism, accountability, growth, and service excellence while maintaining strong financial and operational discipline
What are we looking for?
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Â
- Oversee all spa services, retail, scheduling, and guest experience standardsÂ
- Manage daily spa operations, including treatment quality, cleanliness, guest flow, and service recoveryÂ
- Partner with Sales, Rooms, and Events teams to support group, wedding, and retreat business with spa and wellness offeringsÂ
- Ensure consistent service delivery, therapist utilization, and revenue optimizationÂ
- Oversee Fitness Center / Gym operations, equipment upkeep, and safety standardsÂ
- Manage pool operations, including staffing, guest experience, cleanliness, and compliance with all health and safety regulationsÂ
- Lead recreation, marina, and beach activities, including seasonal programming, rentals, guest experiences, and special eventsÂ
- Curate a cohesive outdoor leisure experience that aligns with the Lake Arrowhead lifestyle and brandÂ
- Hire, train, coach, schedule, and develop Spa, Fitness, Recreation, Pool, Marina, and Beach team membersÂ
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and guest-centric culture rooted in Pyramid Global Hospitality values: People First, Integrity, Accountability, and Growth
- Conduct regular performance feedback, coaching conversations, and development planningÂ
- Promote retention through engagement, recognition, cross-training, and clear expectationsÂ
- Manage departmental budgets, payroll, vendor relationships, and inventoryÂ
- Drive revenue growth through pricing strategy, packaging, upselling, promotions, and retail initiativesÂ
- Monitor KPIs including revenue, labor productivity, utilization, guest satisfaction, and profitabilityÂ
- Ensure accurate forecasting, expense control, and alignment with resort financial goalsÂ
- Deliver a consistent, elevated guest experience across all wellness and recreation touchpointsÂ
- Handle guest concerns with professionalism, empathy, and timely resolutionÂ
- Maintain brand standards and contribute to the resort’s reputation for relaxation, recreation, and service excellenceÂ
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to spa, pool, fitness, marina, and outdoor recreation operationsÂ
- Partner with Engineering, Risk Management, and Loss Prevention to maintain safe, clean, and functional facilitiesÂ
- Lead emergency preparedness and staff training for guests and associate safetyÂ
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3–5+ years of leadership experience in Spa, Wellness, Recreation, or Resort OperationsÂ
- Multi-outlet management experience preferred (spa, fitness, pools, or outdoor recreation)Â
- Strong people leadership, scheduling, and coaching experienceÂ
- Financial acumen with experience managing budgets, payroll, and revenue-driven departmentsÂ
- Exceptional guest service and interpersonal skillsÂ
- Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and seasonal demandsÂ

$70,000-
