JOB SUMMARY 
Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain and record financial data for use in maintaining accounting and statistical records pertaining to revenue audits and Title 31 reporting by performing the following duties.
    
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Compiles composite reports from individual reports for subordinates required by management or government agencies.
•    Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
•    Issues written and oral instructions.
•    Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
•    Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
•    Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances.
•    Adjust error and complaints.
•    Performs Accounting Clerk, Revenue Auditor and Bookkeeper duties as necessary.
•    Other duties may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES 
This position typically supervises a staff of approximately 6-8 Team Members.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training Team Members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining Team Members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.  To perform accounting functions in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles. 

QUALIFICATIONS  
Ten key and good math skills. Must have good filing skills and be computer literate. Substantial experience in basic accounting procedures and cooperative office spirit.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 
Associate’s degree (A.A.); or equivalent form two-year college or technical school; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to pass bookkeeping test with minimum score of 75%.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS 
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY 
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS 
While employed, must maintain a valid and active Blue Lake Tribal Gaming Commission License.
