About the Opportunity

The Staff Pad has partnered with Blue Ridge Medical Center to assist in the recruitment of a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their Cardiac Rehabilitation team. This role is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who is passionate about patient-centered care and wants to make a meaningful impact in a supportive clinical environment.

In this role, the LPN will work closely with Registered Nurses and the broader care team to provide high-quality nursing care, monitor patient conditions, and support patients throughout their cardiac recovery process.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and recognize changes in patient condition and communicate findings to the supervising Registered Nurse.

  • Document patient assessments, nursing interventions, and responses to treatment accurately in the medical record.

  • Participate with RNs and other care team members in discharge planning and patient education.

  • Implement appropriate nursing interventions according to the established plan of care and standards of practice.

  • Administer medications and IV therapy in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.

  • Interpret changes in patient status and respond with appropriate clinical interventions.

  • Respond quickly and appropriately to emergency situations.

  • Provide compassionate care addressing the psychosocial and emotional needs of patients and their families.


Qualifications

  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice.

  • Experience in critical care, long-term care, or assisted living environments preferred.

  • Strong clinical skills including patient assessment, medication administration, phlebotomy, and basic life support techniques.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.


Additional Requirements

  • Completion of hospital-based ACLS and PALS training within the first year of employment.
