Summary

Under the close direction of a supervisor, the Level I Inspector is responsible for performing and documenting the results of inspections or tests that are required to be performed in accordance with documented procedures, acceptance standards, and/or industry practices as defined by contract documents.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Level I Inspector will possess competency in the following areas in order to perform his/her role in a safe, productive, and effective manner. Note that the areas listed are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by co-workers assigned to this role. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all the responsibilities, skills, efforts, or working conditions associated with this job.

 

  • Assists with Implementation of Inspection Plans
  • Ensures a Safe Work Environment
  • Participates in Training/Certifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in an engineering, scientific, or construction related discipline from an accredited college or university; or High School Diploma and 4 years related experience.
  • Knowledge of construction practices (i.e., formwork, rebar, concrete placing, etc.)
  • Ability to locate, read and interpret applicable quality codes and standards.
