St. John LaLande Catholic Church is seeking a passionate, faith-filled disciple to help shape the future of our Catholic community. This leader will assist our Pastor in the missionary transformation of our parish. Â We are looking for someone who doesn't just want a job, but a mission - a mission to help us move from maintenance to growth. Â
As our Evangelization Coordinator, you will be the catalyst for creating a "Path of Discipleship", helping parishioners move from merely attending to deeply encountering Jesus Christ. Â This role is perfect for a self-starter who loves building relationships, mentoring volunteers and discovering creative ways to connect with everyone - from devoted parishioners to those who may feel on the margins.Â

This is a part-time role of about 10-20 hours per week, with some flexibility needed for evening and weekend activities.
Core Purpose: Â To promote the mission to evangelize and catechize active parishioners, inactive parishioners and all searchers and seekers of Jesus Christ.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Pastor to develop and maintain an intentional path for parishioners to deepen their encounter with Christ.
- Identify, recruit and coach volunteer leaders for evangelization initiatives.
- Oversee the welcoming process for newcomers and community outreach.
- Partner with media staff to create an evangelizing strategy via social media, the parish bulletin and digital platforms.

- Ability to collaborate and build effective teams/relationships at various levels.

- Strong communication skills.
Basic Qualifications:
- Practicing Catholic with ethical standards, personal integrity, and conduct consistent with the morals and teachings of the Catholic Church.
- Passionate about the Church, Religious Education, and building relationships.
- Complete and maintain diocesan safe environment expectations.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
