Facility Billing Clerk

Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a Facility Billing Clerk. This position will monitor a “work list” from Flowcast (the Marshall system) of facility charges and will post all facility charges into Affinity (the hospital system). If the patients are not currently in the Affinity system they will have to register the patient and then post their facility charges.

Incumbent must be proficient in using personal computers in a windows network environment and possess a typing speed of 45 wpm through on-site testing (errors excluded from count). Must be able to demonstrate through testing, an understanding of healthcare insurance, government regulations and the UB04 claim forms along with the ability to interpret ICD9/ICD10, CPT and HCPCS coding terminology.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two to four years of position related experience
