- Inspect slag pots to determine necessary repairs
- Examine and document damage prior to starting repair (i.e. written and photographed)
- Operate and maintain all welding machinery and torch cutting equipment
- Make recommendation as to the method of repair
- Weld cracks/washes according to welding procedures
- Maintain documents relating to labor and materials used
- Requisition necessary welding rods and gasses required for repair
- Repair bucket damage, replace cutting edge on equipment, and repair minor cracks in equipment
- Meet customer service expectations
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

- Ability to Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to operate tools (grinding, discs, hand tools)
- Ability to work outside and tolerate noise and temperature variations
- Knowledge of welding materials
- Ability to weld, cut and fabricate
- Basic mechanical skill and ability to use hands to manipulate tools
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Climb, sit, stand, bend, kneel, stoop for extended periods of time
- Willingness to perform other duties as assigned
