Team Lead

Provides support, guidance, instruction, training, and leadership to a production team for the purpose of achieving business and production goals, including safety, quality, delivery, cost, and team development.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:

  • Drives and manages the manufacturing area to achieve production goals by ensuring attainment of job targets per hour by supporting the operator. 
  • Performs safety audits and ensures a safe work environment.
  • Lean Leader: manage CI boards, POWER, update production and action item boards, and develop standardized work.
  • Responsible for communication of key aspects of the business, including safety, quality, delivery, and cost: lead daily team huddles, coordinate changeovers, and assist the Coach with manpower assignments. 
  • Master Trainer: ability to run all jobs in the assigned area and assist the Coach in tracking training and job certification, ensure standardized work is being completed, and provide PTO coverage when required. 
  • Assures quality in-process performs LPA’s, ensures daily check sheets and control plan checks are completed, is responsible for FAI sign off, direct 3-panel activities, contain quality spills, facilitate team problem solving, write MRI, and drive disposition 
  • Supports the coach to ensure lunches and break times are met, and supports the coach in conflict resolution.

  • Strong communication skills, including the ability and willingness to listen.
  • Ability and willingness to confront and resolve conflict.
  • General understanding of the following principles: Safety, Quality, and Machining and/or Assembly 
  • General understanding of Lean Tools
  • Previous experience directing people and work. 
  • Ability to work overtime.
  • Ability to work any shift.

Here are some of the skills and abilities we need you to have (required):

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associate’s degree and at least 3 years of manufacturing experience OR
  • At least 5 years of manufacturing experience
