Our Pekin campus produces products destined for Health, Home& Beauty; Food and Beverage; Industry & Agriculture; Essential Ingredients; and Renewable Fuels markets. All personnel are responsible for the safety of these products, which includes participation in training, following cGMP and feed/food safety requirements in the facility, and following procedures per instruction of management.

Job Purpose 

Responsible for supervising maintenance, facilities, storeroom, equipment, and vendor activities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. Coordinates preventive and corrective maintenance, inventory, purchasing, contractors, equipment repairs, and facility improvement projects.

The following is a list of major duties and responsibilities for this position along with certain supportive duties. It is not all-inclusive. Other duties and responsibilities may be added as needed and in addition; and management may modify this job description as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Assist maintenance and maintain parts inventory.
  • Coordinate preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance of plant equipment, buildings, utilities, vehicles, and other assets.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical equipment and coordinate repairs of motors, pumps, gearboxes, reducers, and other rotating equipment.
  • Coordinate with all Staff any equipment installations, startups, facility improvements, welding/fabrication, vehicle maintenance, and other repairs.
  • Manage storeroom and warehouse operations, including receiving, issuing, stocking, inventory levels, and material locations.
  • Assist the management of CMMS records, work orders, preventive maintenance data, spare-parts lists, and inventory information.
  • Coordinate and kit parts for planned maintenance work.
  • Maintain required maintenance, inventory, and activity records.
  • Assist with equipment replacement planning, maintenance budgets, and facility projects.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, piping diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Assist with ensuring all employees and contractors follow all safety, environmental, DOT, and company requirements.
  • Work closely with Maintenance, Reliability, Operations, Purchasing, and Safety.
  • Provide shift, weekend, overtime, and on-call support as required.

Qualifications 

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical/trade education preferred.
  • 3–5 years of industrial maintenance, facilities, storeroom, or related experience with supervisory or lead experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with rotating equipment, pumps, motors, gearboxes, welding/fabrication, and industrial utilities.
  • Experience with CMMS, inventory management, and maintenance documentation.
  • Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work varying shifts, overtime, weekends, and on-call assignments.

Physical Requirements 

Ability to work indoors and outdoors in hot, cold, dusty, noisy, and potentially hazardous environments; climb stairs and ladders; work at elevated heights; bend, kneel, stoop, crawl, and reach; and lift/move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to safely work around industrial equipment, chemicals, fumes, and other workplace hazards.
