The role will focus primarily on data center electrical installation with a premium on Medium Voltage, EPMS, BMS, and Testing. The Jr. Electrical Estimator will work closely with cross-functional teams in the delivery of accurately priced solutions to our customers. This role will require the individual to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external teams, and with new and existing customers. The Electrical Estimator will also align to a high-performance culture, which requires personal accountability and commitment to results. Role / Requirements: • Working on a variety of large-scale projects including datacenters, industrial power systems, control systems, pharma etc. • Provide specific technical expertise for projects assisting the consulting, planning, engineering, production, quality and deployment teams. • Involved in full tender process from beginning to completion. • Coordinating with customers, suppliers and other stakeholders on an on-going basis. • Ensure deliverables are compliant with the company’s quality processes. Key Responsibilities: • Review project documents, gather proposals, drawings, specifications, and related documents. • Identify labor needs and material requirements by studying related documents. • Prepare project quotations to agreed standards in professional format. • Develop high level concepts to customer needs. • Ensure projects return times are achieved. • Document and record all enquiries ensuring sales pipeline is maintained and up to date. • Follow up with customers, converting quotations to sales. • Exercise technical direction for products and technical areas of expertise. • Provide support on technical features to personnel assigned to project delivery. • Create budgets, BOMs, manage costs, small project management tasks. • Negotiations with suppliers, customers and sub-contractors. • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental Policies. • Communicate with clients, consultants, designers, and suppliers as required. Minimum Requirements: • A relevant higher education degree and/or an electrical trade background. • Minimum 5 years relevant electrical experience. • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under strict deadlines. • Excellent communication and time management skills. • Ability to work as part of a team, and independently. • Ability to pass a drug and background check. • Full driving license to travel to customer site meetings will be required in this role. • Travel within North America may be required. Desirable Skills: • Electrical switchgear, electrical manufacturing, electrical design & commissioning. • Controls/ building management systems / automation systems / instrumentation. • Quantity surveying, cost management, electrical estimation, project management. • Good technical understanding of energy monitoring systems. • Excellent communication skills. • Customer orientated, and organised with good attention to detail. • Competent in Microsoft tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and AutoCAD an advantage.
